Pond Tour in Canada
The first pond tour is at the home of the lovely Teresa Hwang of Vernon, BC. Teresa is a Senior Practitioner affiliated with the Feng Shui Research Center, and she teaches the Professional Feng Shui Modules that are part of the FSRC Feng Shui Practitioner Certification Curriculum. Please feel free to contact Teresa at her website http://www.teresahwang.com
In Time-Space Feng Shui we seriously consider the impact of the outside topology on the Feng Shui of a building. Teresa has placed her home in a beautiful environment that is very auspicious for this particular 20 years in which we are now living. She has a beautiful mountain that curves to enclose her site in the Northeast. This is the most vibrant mountain dragon, Zeng Shen. He brings good health, relationships, and long-term prosperity to the site. The mountain is behind the trees.
Notice how the driveway has a narrow area at the entrance then widens close to the house. This brings the 'virtual water' to the ming tang area in front of the home. The landscaping along the way is beautiful. Beauty is very important in good feng shui.
In the Southwest she has the most vibrant Water Dragon, Ling Shen. Here she has Lake Okanagan and her beautiful pond. The purpose of water in this area is to bring wealth and prosperity. In this view of the pond and the lake yhou can see the beautiful lake in the background demonstrating the Gui type water, deep and wide, clear and beautiful. This type of water collects qi for distribution by the wind. The protective barrier of the mountains keep the wind from dispersing the qi unneccessarily.
I love the Red Japanese Maple bringing just the right amount of fire element to the area. This shows us how well fire and water can go together.
The following pictures give more of the beauty of nature at her finest.
I want to thank Teresa for sharing this beauty she has developed for herself and her husband.
Also, thanks to Raajeish P. Shah for upgrading the quality of the photos for this virtual pond tour.
Notice the bird feeder with the red base. This helps attract more yang qi
The next picture of the pond shows how thoughtful the design is to protect the fish and keep the area safe for children. Just imagine sitting beside this beautiful pond and lake, visualizing your goals, wants, and dreams, then strolling back to the lovely home nestled in the protective arms of Zeng Shen and living a vibrant life fulfilling your visions. I call that 'quality living'.
